Back in 1856, a 16-year-old boy of the Zhan family manufactured BKK’s very first hook. The young teen didn’t know that his small action would be the driving force that would make BKK the company it is today.
Today, BKK employees over 600 people between our factory and offices in the US, Japan, and Shanghai. Our passion for fishing drives a global team to research, test, and create the best hooks in the world, by anglers for anglers.

Strong, Sharp, and Saltwater Tough
The BKK VIPER-41 treble hooks are absolute beasts. They’re razor sharp right out of the pack and hold their edge even after repeated use. The 4X strength gives me confidence when targeting larger saltwater species, and the bright tin coating really does a great job resisting corrosion. I’ve used them on poppers and stickbaits, and they’ve held up flawlessly against hard strikes and long fights. These hooks inspire trust—highly recommended for serious saltwater anglers.

Items are as advertised hooks are very strong and great on poppers jigs and stuff like that. Definitely worth the extra money

Great saltwater heavy duty hooks
Great hooks. Perfect replacement for the standard OEM hooks for saltwater poppers or other heavy duty lures. I will buy again, for sure.

great alternative to Owner treble hooks
When fishing for Bluefin Tuna, I always swap out both hooks on a MadMac. While I used Owner 5/0 hooks at first, they sold out and couldn’t be found anywhere. So I tried the BKK hook. I never lost fish using this hook, and they were readily available. One thing I wasn’t sure about was the barb on the hook. It’s much smaller than the Owner hook, but so far it hasn’t been a problem. While I am partial to using owners, this is definitely a great second option.

Great upgrade for VMC 3/0 on plugs.
These hooks are awesome. They are slightly bigger than VMC 3/0, which is perfect for the hooks I was replacing on things like darters and bottle plugs. They are super sharp and the angle is killer for hook-ups, so much so that I have been fishing them with a slightly looser drag. They are a little bit more expensive than VMC or Mustads, but I feel like they are worth it, especially since I use single hooks on most of my plugs. Highly recommended.
